One Flaw In Women
A dear friend of mine, Nina Griffin, emailed this to me. I met Nina through another dear friend, Jackie Jones. Both help empower women. I post this here to help you remember how truly strong, powerful and wonderful you are. Please let me know what you think by clicking on the comment link and posting a comment. Blessings.
One Flaw In Women
Women have strengths that amaze men.
They bear hardships and they carry burdens,
but they hold happiness, love and joy.
They smile when they want to scream.
They sing when they want to cry.
They cry when they are happy
and laugh when they are nervous.
They fight for what they believe in.
They stand up to injustice.
They don't take "no" for an answer
when they believe there is a better solution.
They go without so their family can have.
They go to the doctor with a frightened friend.
They love unconditionally.
They cry when their children excel
and cheer when their friends get awards.
They are happy when they hear about
a birth or a wedding.
Their hearts break when a friend dies.
They grieve at the loss of a family member,
yet they are strong when they
think there is no strength left.
They know that a hug and a kiss
can heal a broken heart.
Women come in all shapes, sizes and colors.
They'll drive, fly, walk, run or e-mail you
to show how much they care about you.
The heart of a woman is what
makes the world keep turning.
They bring joy, hope and love.
They have compassion and ideas.
They give moral support to their
family and friends.
Women have vital things to say
and everything to give.
HOWEVER, IF THERE IS ONE FLAW IN WOMEN,
IT IS THAT THEY FORGET THEIR WORTH.

Dear Lori; This is a beautiful and endearing poem. Well thought out and so accurate about women. My first introduction to women was through my mother who exemplified all those qualities. Congratulations to Nina Griffin!
That's why I dedicated a whole chapter to women in my book "Expanding The Boundaries Of Self Beyond The Limit Of Traditional Thought Discovering The Magic Within". Thank you for sharing. Oliver Jobson

That is a wonderful poem and jsut what I needed to read tonight..I live with a husband who is emotionally abusive...and he has a terrible porn addiction and is emotionally disconnected from us as a family..I started therapy about 6 months ago becuase i am having terrible anxiety attacks and I am afraid to drive anywhere..i know it is all of the stress i am under..I am an artist and recently had some of my work picked up by a gallery and i am hoping and praying it will be my ticket to financial independence so i can get out of here..anyway, any advice you have for me to help me conquer these terrible anxieties and get back my own power and independence would be sooo appreciated..I truly feel desperate at times..but know in my heart there is a way to get out..i jsut need to find it...I have two wonderful children that deserve a wonderful life..i need to heal and be a whole independent woman..please help..thank you!!

Lori:
I really needed some reminders today about why I am here. I was emotionally beating myself up this morning and by reading the poem you have posted was very uplifting!! I am going to get out of my pity pot mood, face the day and try to make a difference. Thank you!!
